Karen Simpson from Landscape Depot, RCOS President Vaughn MicKinney and Glebe Centre Manager Lawrence Grant cut the ribbon to officially open the newly landscaped sitting area in front of the Glebe Centre.
On May 16, 2012 the Glebe Centre held a brief dedication ceremony for their newly landscaped front entrance and sitting area. The Rotary Club of Ottawa South members enjoyed General Manager Lawrence Grant's hospitality with lunch and conversation at the Glebe Centre. Last fall, through the stewardship of RCOS member Leo Saracino, Rotary contributed some funds, some hard labour, and facilitated preferential pricing to give the front area a wonderful new look and pleasing sitting area. The beautification project is appreciated by residents, guests and the community alike.

Cancer Society of Canada and Peter Knippel Nursery donated hundreds of daffodil bulbs which RCOS members also planted. We'll look for their blooms any time now! "It was a lot of fun, brought parts of the community together to help out, and reduced the cost of the project to the Glebe Centre," commented Saracino.
