Hector got the day off as Gary handled the 50/50 draw. A ticket bought by a local GAS consortium (Gary, Allan, Sam) won the draw, but hit empty when searching for the Joker. Pot sits at $458.

The Club is vey happy to welcome Mahamud (Moe) Elmi. Not only is he a personable and engaging fellow, he is a Ottawa Police Sergeant, and founder of the Somali Hope Academy Foundation. A great addition to the RCOS!

Presentation on Coaching for Excellence

Introduced by Alex, JoAnn Meyer gave an interesting and informative talk on coaching for excellence. Her practice focuses on career and executive coaching, but often delves into personal and life coaching.

She explained that her goal is not to tell people what to do, but guide them as they come to their own conclusion and self-generated implementation. It‘s essential that a coach first know themselves well; as well as be curious, using appreciative questioning to help the client know themselves better.

President Joan ended the meeting promptly at 1:30pm.
