  • Polo in the Park Ottawa update from Monique:
    • Pleased with the level of support shown by the Club – keep up the good work gang!
    • VIP table and individual ticket sales are ahead of last year, and we need to double our efforts to really push it for the final month: Gen Admin is $20; children under 18 are free, VIP tables are $2000, Picnic Baskets are $100
    • Still time to sell arena signage: 1 for $300; 2 for $450
  • Ian is planning a social outing at the baseball park. Adam Monsour donated 9 baseball tickets to the club. Stay tuned!
  • Any great suggestions (keep the mediocre ones to yourself) as to how we should celebrate our 50th anniversary? Talk to Ian.
  • Check our website homepage for upcoming meetings and events.

Happy Bucks
Rosemary charmed her way around the table collecting loonies and tales of our happiness, gratitude and well-being.

50/50
Hector deftly (what? No, not deafly!) handled the 50/50 draw. Mack had the winning ticket, but came up Jokerless. According to Sam, the pot sits very close to $416.

Presentation on RYLA 2017

Brittany Hesmer, President of the Rotaract Club of Ottawa South, and three other Rotaract members all attended RYLA in June. It was held in Washington DC, and our Rotaract Club was one of the better represented.

Britt had a great slideshow and presentation updating us on the highlights of the conference, one of which was a speech by RI President Ian Risely. He was engaging, entertaining and quite passionate about Rotary and its importance.

All attendees had a great time, made many new friends, learned more about Rotary and the value of coming together, and working together for the common good.

Britt and Joan shine their smiles after Britt’s presentation to the Club.

Sam enjoys(?!) birthday wishes from Allan and Gary.

President Joan ended the meeting promptly at 1:30pm.
