Rotary International is one of the oldest and largest service organizations in the world. It’s an active network of community-minded people who believe in supporting worthwhile causes – and like-minded organizations.
Please join the DisCon 2024 conference committee team in the riverside village of Clayton, New York, for a weekend of camaraderie, education, introspection, and fun on 3-5 May 2024.
This year's theme is “Together We Build for the Future." District Governor Pardeep Ahluwalia is hoping we’ll not only continue the good work we do as Rotarians today, but plan for the future by making Rotary the gathering place for citizens around the world of all ages.

March 20, 2024
We welcomed four guests to the meeting: Dr. Pardeep Ahluwalia, District Governor, (our Guest Speaker), Simmy Ahluwalia, Graeme Fraser, Area Governor and Lynne Hamilton Corbett (guest of Kateri).
Pardeep is relatively new to Rotary. He joined the Rotary Club of West Ottawa in 2016. In addition to other roles within the Club, he has served as Club President for two consecutive terms, and has been involved in District-level activities. Pardeep assumed the role of District Governor for District 7040 in July 2023.
Pardeep spoke to us about the structure of Rotary. There are 42,000 clubs around the world. Rotary is in every country but two. There are 1.4 million Rotarians around the world - impressive statistics. The District is a grouping of clubs and in District 7040 there are 65 clubs. Districts are grouped into zones. We are a part of Zone 28. He stressed that the district provides guidance and support to the clubs. If your club has an issue, reach out to the district and they will do what they can to assist.
Service is what we do! "Rotary Brand - People of Action!" Our brand shows that we care about our local communities and communities around the world.
Rotary is a place where people create professional connections and take meaningful action. Dr. Ahluwalia’s dedication exemplifies the spirit of service and community impact that Rotary embodies.
