Announcements

  • Welcome to our guests: Satya Dev, Dr. Rehana Hashmi, and prospective member Malik Djinadou
  • Scott reported that Community Blend sales have fallen, perhaps Rotarians have stopped drinking coffee. Order coffee for your own household and ask your neighbours and friends to try it. Things may slow down in the summer, but we still drink coffee. Contact Scott to order beans or ground.
  • Chris gave an update on our Sept 26 golf tournament. That date will come much faster than we expect so now is the time to focus on selling golf foursomes. If you know one person interested in playing, pass their information along to Chris. We'd like to sell out the tournament before the end of August, so talk it up with any golfers you know.
  • Kateri let us know that Vik is on his way home from India and his mother's funeral. Everyone offered their support and best wishes.
Rotary Moment with Kateri Clark
Kateri shared an interesting video of Michael Angelo Caruso interviewing Ri Director Drew Kessler. It's less than 10 minutes and worth a viewing.

Getting to Know Andre Errett

Andre Errett, one of our new members, comes to RCOS with a wealth of experience and great enthusiasm to share with the club.

Andre has three wonderful kids, a daughter and two sons, and many of us had the privilege to meet them at a previous RCOS lunch. With a busy life, he tries to integrate his passions so he can partake in more things and expose his kids to positive experiences and influences. In fact, as he spoke to us today he was at football practice for one his boys.

Andre has experience as an entrepreneur as well as working for private companies and now in the public service. He has a strong work ethic, but believes that work should fun. Whether that be working for a company or for a non-profit organization, he focuses on making it fun.

With Andre as a member, RCOS is bound to be even more effective... and more fun!

Some Rotary Club of Ottawa South members enjoy some virtual camaraderie during their Zoom meeting July 20, 2022.
