Announcements
  • Hector Allen is currently in hospital and will be going to the Colonel By Residence.
  • Now is the time to start reaching out to your network for Polo in the Park Ottawa sponsorships and VIP table sales. Speak to people now so they can budget for 2019.
  • Quora's Night at the Races, at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday Oct 28, 6pm. Cost is $68 and you'll receive a tax receipt for half. Let Alex know asap if you are attending so seats can be reserved.
  • Ian Warrack attended the Metro Club's charter event, which was held at the Legion on Kent St. It was well attended and a fun evening. Thank you for representing RCOS, Ian!
  • Our Christmas Kettle day will Saturday, December 1 from 10am - 9pm. A registration form will be online shortly.

Joan Hunter, our esteemed President, collected our loonies and expressions of gratitude.
 
 
50/50
Scott Vetter officiated the 50/50, and there was couriting, but no marriage. Janine Parker had the lucky ticket but missed the Joker from the relatively fresh deck. The pot sits at $100.
 
 
Guest Speaker: Captain Jeff Arkell from the Salvation Army
Captain Jeff Arkell is the leader of the Salvation Army Ottawa Citadel located on Walkley Road. He gave us great overview of the Salvation Army's Kettle campaign, and the important role it plays in generating funds for local charitable efforts.
 
All funds raised are invested locally in many of the programs that the Salvation Army oversees to assist our neighbours, including gift baskets at Christmas, food and other support programs, regional camps and more.
 
Captain Jeff thanked pur club for our continued support of the kettle campaign.
